The Department of Communications Engineering was established in 2015 due to the tremendous development in communications engineering in its various fields, where it became necessary to provide a distinguished engineering staff in this specialty and the department includes two branches, namely optical communication systems and wireless communication systems. Postgraduate studies were introduced in the department in the year 2020-2021 in both branches, as the duration of the study is two years, the first divided into two semesters, and the second for preparing a master's thesis in one of the telecommunications engineering specializations.
